Singapore: Huttons has appointed Rex Tan as its Chief Agency Officer, reinforcing the agency’s strategic focus on technology-driven growth, agent capability building, and stronger engagement with consumers.

Widely recognised as one of the most influential agency builders in Singapore real estate, Mr Tan has spent more than a decade reshaping how agents operate, grow, and compete in a digital marketplace. He will oversee agency development initiatives aimed at equipping agents with future-ready skills and tools. His appointment comes at a time when the industry is increasingly shaped by digitalisation, data, and changing consumer expectations.

Mr Mark Yip, Chief Executive Officer of Huttons Group said, “Huttons ended the year strong with winning HR Asia Best Companies to Work for in Asia 2025 and HR Asia Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Awards 2025. These recognitions affirm our commitment to fostering a supportive and inclusive workplace where every individual feels valued, respected, and empowered to grow.

As Chief Agency Officer, Rex will place a strong emphasis on AI adoption and digital training, rolling out structured programmes to help agents leverage technology for lead management, customer engagement, and productivity. These initiatives are designed to enhance advisory standards while allowing agents to focus on higher-value client interactions.”

In addition, Mr Tan will spearhead market education initiatives for agents and consumers, positioning Huttons as a trusted source of property insights for homebuyers and investors. These will elevate real estate literacy of clients and reinforce the advisory role of professionals.

“Technology should elevate professionalism, not dilute it,” said Mr Tan. “By combining strong fundamentals with AI and structured systems, we enable our agents to serve clients at a much higher level while building long-term trust and sustainable careers.”

Huttons will also invest heavily in their Super App, branding and thought-leadership initiatives, including data-driven market commentary, and digital content, reinforcing the agency’s positioning as innovative and transformative.

Mr Tan’s appointment reflects Huttons continued commitment to developing its people while adapting to the evolving demands of the real estate market.

“Rex grew his team which was established in 2010 to a current headcount of 2,650 in 2026 and achieved Top Executive Group District Director awards in Huttons consecutively since 2019. This amazing feat showcases his dedication and being at the forefront of real estate education and mentorship of aspiring agents and leaders. Currently, Rex is also pursuing his Executive Master of Business Administration (EMBA) with Singapore Management University (SMU) to emerge as a stronger leader and prepare for the challenges of leading our agency in the new economy.

As the company continue to expand and evolve, we remain dedicated to building a positive, collaborative culture that nurtures potential, celebrates diversity, and inspires excellence.” Mr Yip concludes.
